Gets the job done, but old is gold
I got these as a replacement for my old cane string idyappam thattu set, which unfortunately caught mold. These do the job, but the plastic means that the underside of your idiyappam are oddly shiny and just feel a little strange to hold and eat. The cane string trays weren't available at the time I purchased the plastic ones, so I'll be getting the cane string ones in my next order. If you're going to the trouble of making idiyappam, do yourself a favour and skip the plastic.
